I have the Snow Flower book so I put them side by side......very similar. I couldn't find who did the cover art for the Shriver book. If I do, I'll let you know if both covers are by the same artist.<BR/><BR/>Kookiejar - I haven't read that far into it....uummmm, I'm actually only around 25 pages in. It's the sort of novel that requires your complete attention, so I really need to make time to read it. You might end up finishing it before me! I can't wait to learn your thoughts on it.<BR/><BR/>Nancy - You should definitely get it for your niece. I think she will really like it. BTW - they also fight crime with the books.
