Costco is a black hole. It will suck you in and spit you out dry, especially their book section. If you've never shopped there before, I warn you not to go on payday. I've given you fair warning!
I've purchased an exorbitant number of books over the past few months from all venues (i.e. online, school bookstore, Barnes and Noble, etc.). Booksobuyase overload. I thought I'd share some of my purchases:
The Ghost at the Table
Wicked
Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister
A Peach of a Murder: A Fresh Baked-Mystery
Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia

And this touches on just a smidgen of what I've purchased, which includes a slew of graphic novels and manga whose titles I can't remember. I have three more bags and two bins (of new books) waiting to be looked through. And yes, those bags are so full that they keep falling over. BTW - The Ladies of Grace Adieu and Other Stories has illustrations in it (and the cover is really nice). I'm a sucker for illustrated novels. Of course, I have yet to finish Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norell, but I have absolutely loved what I have read so far. I'm actually half-way through, so I just need a couple of free days (an exam-free week) to buckle down and finish it.
Now please excuse me while I stick my head in the toilet bowl and flush until I drown.

Ooooooooh, Amelia, I'm so jealous, that's a wonderful stack of books! Some of my favorites from your pile are: "Tortilla Curtain", "Dancing Girls of Lahore","Frida", "Looking for Alaska" and "Eat,Pray,Love".
Ones I haven't read but come highly recommended are:
"Carry Me Down", "Crow Lake", "The Devil and Ms.Prym", "Black Swan Green", "Stardust" and "The Historian"
Wow, you've got a lot of reading to look forward to, enjoy!!!!!!
Cha cha cha! What a list! And I'm with everyone who's said you deserve credit for confessing. It's good for the soul, they say!
I haven't bought anything lately, which is becoming more the norm than it ever used to be. However, I must add, I've been able to trade for some new books at the indie bookshop I do freelance work for. I've brought in some of my own former bookstore stock and walked out with some shiny, new covers. Sweeeet.
Love the list! You have some great titles. Be proud of your Booksobuyase :)
That is a great list of books, and I love how you linked them all! I have been browsing. :)
Wowzer! That's a lot of books! I loved Crow Lake and The Tea Rose. You're in for a treat with those two. I have Baker Towers and Lisey's Story on my TBR list and Eat, Pray, Love on my nightstand. I haven't bought many books lately (other than The Book Thief and The Thirteenth Tale) since I'm trying desperately to work my way through the hundreds I already own! Your list is making me a bit anxious, though, to stop off at B&N on my way home from work today. :)
Wow! I'm impressed. Now I don't feel so guilty! :) I ordered Apple, by the way--I'm looking forward to it!
Whoo! That's quite a list! Congrats! :-D
I love Costco... Usually don't have money when I go there, so I just go to the book section and drool, but once-in-a-while I get lucky... I got my hardcover copy of "The Da Vinci Code" there (hubby bought it for me for my birthday) back before it got crazy-popular. ;o)
PS... I noted your vote for The Blogger Book Club! Thanks! :o)

Great list!! Have fun!
That is your book list to date??
*jaw drops to floor with a clunk*
Wow! I'm envious. OH...do tell me how you like Jonathan Strange and Mr Norell - almost bought it the other day. Should I?
Costco is quite the place, isn't it!?! Enjoy your book frenzy, Amelia.
WOW!!!! That is an amazing amount of new books to read! I got an email a couple of days ago that my copy of Ladies of Grace Adieu is winging across the ocean on its way to my front door. I can't wait!
Don't flush! Don't flush! I can only be thankful (if a little envious) that I don't have a Costco nearby. I'm afraid my bank account would be very VERY empty.
Holy Cow! That's a lotta books. Although if I were to go through my shelves (actually boxes at the moment, since most of my stuff is still in storage), I'd find a lot of unread books that have been bought in the last few months. I had made a habit of frequenting library book sales - a literary gold mine!
Of course, I had to click on the title links and have added a few to my wishlist.
I loved 'The Myth of You and Me' by the way.
I hear you on the Costco thing! I stay away from the books or I would end up with a cartload of books and no food!! Nice selection you got!
Wow...that's quite a list!
Wow! That's a lot of books. You must be an avid reader!!!! Costco is really good for finding books too. I love that place.
Really really REALLY wild, Amelia.
I may be quitting my job and becoming a COSTCO worker. Extremely soon.
Like I am not kidding even. I have an interview coming up soon. Have applied for a job at the place because I HATE where I work.
All the best to you.
Happy reading!
[Hey.... maybe soon I will be able to get you some kind of employee-discount on books, so you can buy even more of them!]

Holy Cow, Girlfriend! You buy more than I do. Have fun reading and wishing lazy days to do so!
*pokes for life*
Did the big pile of books fall over and trap you? You get that off your chest and then totally vanish!
Hi Amelia...hope everything is ok and you're back online soon.
Hey you! I hope you are spending time reading that stack of books and you just happened to lose track of time. :)
Please stop by and say "Hi". You're missed.
Hi! Just peeking in to see how you are. Hope all is well!
This is fantastic because your reading taste is so eclectic and varied; as eclectic and varied as the places you purchase your plethora of books !
Well done !!
I too have been making an inordinate amount of purchases in the book field of late. Perhaps there is something in the air that is luring we unsuspecting bibliophilic types !!
I eagerly await your thoughts on Wicked. I have mixed feelings on suggesting it to YA readers. I saw the musical in NYC with all the mother/daughter pairs in attendance, but having read the book, I was worried about the clock portrayal. Maggie
Amelia u r sooooo creepy! but i still love you..........marry me =D
Okay Amelia...it's time to come up for air!!!
And I thought I bought a lot of books!
Where are you girl? Are you trapped under all those books you bought? ;D
Wow, I thought I'd bought a lot of books. What a pretender I am! You, Amelia are the Real Deal! Well done!!!
Amelia ~ Where are you? I only "know" you through your blog, but I really am concerned. It saddens me to see you not here. Please just stop by (or have someone else do it) and let us know that you are taking a break. Please.
Does anybody KNOW Amelia outside of the Blog World? If so, would you please tell us something. Thank you.
Oh...just wanted to say...I read The Yellow-Lighted Bookshop...and LOVED it!
